Barangay Hayanggabon

Barangay Hayanggabon is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Claver, located in the province of Surigao Del Norte, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Hayanggabon had a population of 2,790. This made it the 7th largest of 14 barangays in Claver by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Hayanggabon accounted for approximately 7.74% of the total population of Claver, which stood at 36,033 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Hayanggabon moving from 2,373 residents to 2,790 residents, an intercensal change of +17.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Hayanggabon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
