Barangay Nipa

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Nipa is one of the administrative divisions of Concepcion in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Nipa had a population of 1,465. This made it the 12th largest of 25 barangays in Concepcion by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nipa accounted for approximately 3.28% of the total population of Concepcion, which stood at 44,633 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Nipa moving from 1,429 residents to 1,465 residents, an intercensal change of +2.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Nipa as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
