Barangay Poblacion

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Poblacion is one of the administrative divisions of Concepcion in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 4,760. This made it the 1st largest of 25 barangays in Concepcion by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 10.66% of the total population of Concepcion, which stood at 44,633 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 4,957 residents to 4,760 residents, an intercensal change of -4.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
