Barangay San Jose (Pob.)

Barangay San Jose (Pob.) is a large barangay in the municipality of Concepcion, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Jose (Pob.) had a population of 10,454. This made it the 1st largest of 45 barangays in Concepcion by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose (Pob.) accounted for approximately 6.15% of the total population of Concepcion, which stood at 169,953 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Jose (Pob.) changed from 9,739 to 10,454, a shift of +7.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Concepcion. Barangay San Jose (Pob.) is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Concepcion is a municipality comprising 45 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Jose (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Tarlac, which contains 511 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Jose (Pob.) ranks 15th by 2020 population.
