Barangay Villamiemban

Barangay Villamiemban is a small barangay in the municipality of Cordon, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villamiemban had a population of 833. This made it the 23rd largest of 26 barangays in Cordon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villamiemban accounted for approximately 1.79% of the total population of Cordon, which stood at 46,477 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villamiemban changed from 788 to 833, a shift of +5.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Cordon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villamiemban as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cordon is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villamiemban, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Isabela, which contains 1,055 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Villamiemban ranks 747th by 2020 population.
