Barangay Mabahin

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Mabahin is one of the administrative divisions of Cortes in Surigao Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mabahin had a population of 3,013. This made it the 2nd largest of 12 barangays in Cortes by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabahin accounted for approximately 16.81% of the total population of Cortes, which stood at 17,924 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mabahin moving from 2,564 residents to 3,013 residents, an intercensal change of +17.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Mabahin is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
