Barangay Agcabugao

Barangay Agcabugao forms part of Cuartero, a municipality in Capiz, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Agcabugao had a population of 845. This made it the 19th largest of 22 barangays in Cuartero by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agcabugao accounted for approximately 3.02% of the total population of Cuartero, which stood at 27,993 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 842 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 845 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.4%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Agcabugao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Cuartero is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Agcabugao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
