Barangay Balingasag

Barangay Balingasag forms part of Cuartero, a municipality in Capiz, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Balingasag had a population of 967. This made it the 17th largest of 22 barangays in Cuartero by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. The barangay recorded 937 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 967 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Balingasag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
