Barangay Camancijan

Situated in Culasi, Antique, Barangay Camancijan is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Camancijan had a population of 1,998. This made it the 7th largest of 44 barangays in Culasi by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camancijan accounted for approximately 4.49% of the total population of Culasi, which stood at 44,494 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,938 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,998 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Camancijan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Culasi is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camancijan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
