Barangay Caridad

Barangay Caridad forms part of Culasi, a municipality in Antique, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Caridad had a population of 895. This made it the 16th largest of 44 barangays in Culasi by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Caridad accounted for approximately 2.01% of the total population of Culasi, which stood at 44,494 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 882 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 895 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +1.5%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Caridad is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Culasi is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Caridad, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
