Barangay Paningayan

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Paningayan is one of the administrative divisions of Culasi in Antique, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Paningayan had a population of 331. This made it the 40th largest of 44 barangays in Culasi by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paningayan accounted for approximately 0.74% of the total population of Culasi, which stood at 44,494 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Paningayan changed from 354 to 331, a shift of -6.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Culasi. Barangay Paningayan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Culasi is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paningayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
