Barangay Simbola

Barangay Simbola is a very small barangay in the municipality of Culasi, located in the province of Antique, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Simbola had a population of 173. This made it the 43rd largest of 44 barangays in Culasi by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Simbola accounted for approximately 0.39% of the total population of Culasi, which stood at 44,494 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Simbola moving from 229 residents to 173 residents, an intercensal change of -24.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Simbola as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
