Barangay Bagay

Barangay Bagay is a large barangay in the municipality of Daanbantayan, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagay had a population of 5,151. This made it the 7th largest of 20 barangays in Daanbantayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagay accounted for approximately 5.51% of the total population of Daanbantayan, which stood at 93,502 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagay moving from 4,549 residents to 5,151 residents, an intercensal change of +13.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagay as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
