Barangay Calasgasan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Calasgasan is one of the administrative divisions of Daet in Camarines Norte, Bicol Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calasgasan had a population of 4,141. This made it the 11th largest of 25 barangays in Daet by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calasgasan accounted for approximately 3.71% of the total population of Daet, which stood at 111,700 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calasgasan moving from 3,686 residents to 4,141 residents, an intercensal change of +12.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calasgasan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Daet is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calasgasan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
