Barangay Cobangbang

Situated in Daet, Camarines Norte, Barangay Cobangbang is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cobangbang had a population of 4,035. This made it the 12th largest of 25 barangays in Daet by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cobangbang accounted for approximately 3.61% of the total population of Daet, which stood at 111,700 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cobangbang moving from 3,943 residents to 4,035 residents, an intercensal change of +2.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cobangbang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Daet is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cobangbang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
