Barangay Lawaan

Barangay Lawaan is a small barangay in Danao City, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lawaan had a population of 1,595. This made it the 25th largest of 42 barangays in Danao City by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Lawaan accounted for approximately 1.02% of the total population of Danao City, which stood at 156,321 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lawaan moving from 1,679 residents to 1,595 residents, an intercensal change of -5.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
