Barangay Tuburan Sur

Barangay Tuburan Sur is a large barangay in Danao City, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tuburan Sur had a population of 7,982. This made it the 6th largest of 42 barangays in Danao City by population, placing it in the upper half of the city. Residents of Barangay Tuburan Sur accounted for approximately 5.11% of the total population of Danao City, which stood at 156,321 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,944 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 7,982 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +14.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Tuburan Sur is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Danao City is a city comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tuburan Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
