Barangay Concepcion

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Concepcion is one of the administrative divisions of Danao in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Concepcion had a population of 1,690. This made it the 3rd largest of 17 barangays in Danao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Concepcion accounted for approximately 8.35% of the total population of Danao, which stood at 20,245 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Concepcion moving from 1,566 residents to 1,690 residents, an intercensal change of +7.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Concepcion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Danao is a municipality comprising 17 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Concepcion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
