Barangay Lacaron

Situated in Dao, Capiz, Barangay Lacaron is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lacaron had a population of 2,355. This made it the 5th largest of 20 barangays in Dao by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lacaron accounted for approximately 6.96% of the total population of Dao, which stood at 33,842 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lacaron moving from 2,347 residents to 2,355 residents, an intercensal change of +0.3%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Lacaron is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
