Barangay Mapulang Bato

Barangay Mapulang Bato is a small barangay in the municipality of Dao, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mapulang Bato had a population of 641. This made it the 18th largest of 20 barangays in Dao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mapulang Bato accounted for approximately 1.89% of the total population of Dao, which stood at 33,842 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mapulang Bato moving from 610 residents to 641 residents, an intercensal change of +5.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Mapulang Bato is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
