Barangay Batuhon Dacu

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Batuhon Dacu is one of the administrative divisions of Dauin in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Batuhon Dacu had a population of 603. This made it the 22nd largest of 23 barangays in Dauin by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Batuhon Dacu accounted for approximately 2.01% of the total population of Dauin, which stood at 30,018 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Batuhon Dacu changed from 584 to 603, a shift of +3.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dauin. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Batuhon Dacu as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dauin is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Batuhon Dacu, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
