Barangay Bugnay

Barangay Bugnay is a small barangay in the municipality of Diadi, located in the province of Nueva Vizcaya, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bugnay had a population of 1,563. This made it the 2nd largest of 19 barangays in Diadi by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bugnay accounted for approximately 8.13% of the total population of Diadi, which stood at 19,236 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bugnay moving from 1,334 residents to 1,563 residents, an intercensal change of +17.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bugnay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Diadi is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bugnay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
