Barangay Manggitahan forms part of Dilasag, a municipality in Aurora, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Manggitahan had a population of 1,841. This made it the 5th largest of 11 barangays in Dilasag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manggitahan accounted for approximately 10.76% of the total population of Dilasag, which stood at 17,102 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Manggitahan moving from 1,742 residents to 1,841 residents, an intercensal change of +5.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
