Barangay Bangal

Situated in Dinalupihan, Bataan, Barangay Bangal is one of 46 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bangal had a population of 5,053. This made it the 6th largest of 46 barangays in Dinalupihan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bangal accounted for approximately 4.27% of the total population of Dinalupihan, which stood at 118,209 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 4,774 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,053 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bangal as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Dinalupihan is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bangal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bataan, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bangal ranks 56th by 2020 population. Barangay Bangal is governed by an elected Sangguniang Barangay composed of a Punong Barangay and seven kagawads, with the Sangguniang Kabataan representing the youth. The next BSKE, set for Monday, November 2, 2026, will elect officials to four-year terms as provided under Republic Act No. 12232.
