Barangay Kalawakan

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Kalawakan is one of the administrative divisions of Doña Remedios Trinidad in Bulacan, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Kalawakan had a population of 8,802. This made it the 1st largest of 8 barangays in Doña Remedios Trinidad by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kalawakan accounted for approximately 30.72% of the total population of Doña Remedios Trinidad, which stood at 28,656 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 6,909 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 8,802 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +27.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Kalawakan as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
