Barangay Angare

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Angare is one of the administrative divisions of Dueñas in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Angare had a population of 506. This made it the 35th largest of 47 barangays in Dueñas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Angare accounted for approximately 1.46% of the total population of Dueñas, which stood at 34,597 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Angare moving from 415 residents to 506 residents, an intercensal change of +21.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Angare as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dueñas is a municipality comprising 47 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Angare, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
