Barangay Bagongbong

Barangay Bagongbong is a small barangay in the municipality of Dueñas, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagongbong had a population of 1,198. This made it the 7th largest of 47 barangays in Dueñas by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagongbong accounted for approximately 3.46% of the total population of Dueñas, which stood at 34,597 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bagongbong moving from 1,047 residents to 1,198 residents, an intercensal change of +14.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagongbong as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
