Barangay Romualdez

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Romualdez is one of the administrative divisions of Dulag in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Romualdez had a population of 716. This made it the 27th largest of 45 barangays in Dulag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Romualdez accounted for approximately 1.46% of the total population of Dulag, which stood at 48,992 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Romualdez changed from 658 to 716, a shift of +8.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dulag. Barangay Romualdez is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dulag is a municipality comprising 45 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Romualdez, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Leyte, which contains 1,641 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Romualdez ranks 892nd by 2020 population.
