Barangay Sabang Daguitan

Barangay Sabang Daguitan is a small barangay in the municipality of Dulag, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sabang Daguitan had a population of 579. This made it the 36th largest of 45 barangays in Dulag by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sabang Daguitan accounted for approximately 1.18% of the total population of Dulag, which stood at 48,992 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sabang Daguitan moving from 532 residents to 579 residents, an intercensal change of +8.8%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sabang Daguitan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dulag is a municipality comprising 45 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sabang Daguitan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
