Barangay Salvacion

Situated in Dulag, Leyte, Barangay Salvacion is one of 45 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Salvacion had a population of 1,262. This made it the 15th largest of 45 barangays in Dulag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salvacion accounted for approximately 2.58% of the total population of Dulag, which stood at 48,992 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Salvacion moving from 1,195 residents to 1,262 residents, an intercensal change of +5.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Salvacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dulag is a municipality comprising 45 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Salvacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
