Barangay Santa Carmen

Situated in Dumalag, Capiz, Barangay Santa Carmen is one of 19 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santa Carmen had a population of 816. This made it the 13th largest of 19 barangays in Dumalag by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santa Carmen accounted for approximately 2.71% of the total population of Dumalag, which stood at 30,098 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 779 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 816 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Santa Carmen is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
