Barangay Kantangkas

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Kantangkas is one of the administrative divisions of Dumanjug in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kantangkas had a population of 821. This made it the 26th largest of 37 barangays in Dumanjug by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Kantangkas accounted for approximately 1.42% of the total population of Dumanjug, which stood at 57,823 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Kantangkas changed from 839 to 821, a shift of -2.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Dumanjug. Barangay Kantangkas is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dumanjug is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kantangkas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
