Barangay Tapon

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tapon is one of the administrative divisions of Dumanjug in Cebu, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tapon had a population of 4,118. This made it the 1st largest of 37 barangays in Dumanjug by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tapon accounted for approximately 7.12% of the total population of Dumanjug, which stood at 57,823 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tapon moving from 3,499 residents to 4,118 residents, an intercensal change of +17.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tapon is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
