Barangay Bitnong

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Bitnong is one of the administrative divisions of Dupax Del Norte in Nueva Vizcaya, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bitnong had a population of 3,239. This made it the 4th largest of 15 barangays in Dupax Del Norte by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bitnong accounted for approximately 9.73% of the total population of Dupax Del Norte, which stood at 33,295 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Bitnong changed from 2,641 to 3,239, a shift of +22.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Dupax Del Norte. Barangay Bitnong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Dupax Del Norte is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bitnong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
