Barangay Tanza

Barangay Tanza is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Enrique B. Magalona, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tanza had a population of 2,756. This made it the 9th largest of 23 barangays in Enrique B. Magalona by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tanza accounted for approximately 4.29% of the total population of Enrique B. Magalona, which stood at 64,290 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tanza moving from 3,531 residents to 2,756 residents, an intercensal change of -21.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Tanza is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
