Barangay Pasong

Situated in Garcia Hernandez, Bohol, Barangay Pasong is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pasong had a population of 1,097. This made it the 9th largest of 30 barangays in Garcia Hernandez by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pasong accounted for approximately 4.49% of the total population of Garcia Hernandez, which stood at 24,430 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,101 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,097 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.4%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Pasong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Garcia Hernandez is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pasong, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
