Barangay Tabuan

Barangay Tabuan is a small barangay in the municipality of Garcia Hernandez, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tabuan had a population of 1,405. This made it the 3rd largest of 30 barangays in Garcia Hernandez by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tabuan accounted for approximately 5.75% of the total population of Garcia Hernandez, which stood at 24,430 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tabuan moving from 1,318 residents to 1,405 residents, an intercensal change of +6.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Tabuan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
