Barangay Tugop

Barangay Tugop is a very small barangay in the municipality of General Macarthur, located in the province of Eastern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tugop had a population of 220. This made it the 21st largest of 30 barangays in General Macarthur by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tugop accounted for approximately 1.53% of the total population of General Macarthur, which stood at 14,411 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tugop moving from 219 residents to 220 residents, an intercensal change of +0.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community.
