Barangay Anao

Situated in Ginatilan, Cebu, Barangay Anao is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Anao had a population of 616. This made it the 12th largest of 14 barangays in Ginatilan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anao accounted for approximately 3.64% of the total population of Ginatilan, which stood at 16,906 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Anao moving from 428 residents to 616 residents, an intercensal change of +43.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Anao as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
