Barangay Cagsing

Barangay Cagsing is a small barangay in the municipality of Ginatilan, located in the province of Cebu, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cagsing had a population of 1,171. This made it the 7th largest of 14 barangays in Ginatilan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cagsing accounted for approximately 6.93% of the total population of Ginatilan, which stood at 16,906 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cagsing moving from 1,219 residents to 1,171 residents, an intercensal change of -3.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cagsing as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
