Barangay Bancal

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay Bancal is one of the administrative divisions of Guagua in Pampanga, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bancal had a population of 6,777. This made it the 4th largest of 31 barangays in Guagua by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bancal accounted for approximately 5.26% of the total population of Guagua, which stood at 128,893 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bancal moving from 6,675 residents to 6,777 residents, an intercensal change of +1.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bancal as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Guagua is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bancal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Bancal ranks 90th by 2020 population.
