Barangay Calzada

Situated in Guinobatan, Albay, Barangay Calzada is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calzada had a population of 2,591. This made it the 9th largest of 44 barangays in Guinobatan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calzada accounted for approximately 3.02% of the total population of Guinobatan, which stood at 85,786 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calzada moving from 2,787 residents to 2,591 residents, an intercensal change of -7.0%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calzada as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guinobatan is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calzada, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
