Barangay Mauraro

Situated in Guinobatan, Albay, Barangay Mauraro is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mauraro had a population of 6,838. This made it the 1st largest of 44 barangays in Guinobatan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mauraro accounted for approximately 7.97% of the total population of Guinobatan, which stood at 85,786 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Mauraro changed from 5,980 to 6,838, a shift of +14.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Guinobatan. Barangay Mauraro is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Guinobatan is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mauraro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Albay, which contains 720 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mauraro ranks 11th by 2020 population.
