Barangay Poblacion

Situated in Guinobatan, Albay, Barangay Poblacion is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 1,135. This made it the 35th largest of 44 barangays in Guinobatan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 1.32% of the total population of Guinobatan, which stood at 85,786 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,336 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,135 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -15.0%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Poblacion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
