Barangay Pood

Barangay Pood forms part of Guinobatan, a municipality in Albay, and is classified as a very small barangay.

This made it the 44th largest of 44 barangays in Guinobatan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pood accounted for approximately 0.24% of the total population of Guinobatan, which stood at 85,786 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 583 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 205 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -64.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Pood is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guinobatan is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pood, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
