Barangay Quitago

Situated in Guinobatan, Albay, Barangay Quitago is one of 44 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Quitago had a population of 2,740. This made it the 8th largest of 44 barangays in Guinobatan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Quitago accounted for approximately 3.19% of the total population of Guinobatan, which stood at 85,786 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,236 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,740 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +22.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Quitago is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guinobatan is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Quitago, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
