Barangay Sinungtan

Barangay Sinungtan is a small barangay in the municipality of Guinobatan, located in the province of Albay, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Sinungtan had a population of 1,415. This made it the 28th largest of 44 barangays in Guinobatan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Sinungtan accounted for approximately 1.65% of the total population of Guinobatan, which stood at 85,786 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Sinungtan moving from 1,312 residents to 1,415 residents, an intercensal change of +7.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Sinungtan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Guinobatan is a municipality comprising 44 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Sinungtan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
