Barangay Marcelo H. Del Pilar

Barangay Marcelo H. Del Pilar is a very small barangay in the municipality of Gumaca, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Marcelo H. Del Pilar had a population of 198. This made it the 53rd largest of 59 barangays in Gumaca by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Marcelo H. Del Pilar accounted for approximately 0.28% of the total population of Gumaca, which stood at 71,942 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 211 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 198 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -6.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Marcelo H. Del Pilar as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
