Barangay Rizal (Pob.)

Barangay Rizal (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Gumaca, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Rizal (Pob.) had a population of 943. This made it the 23rd largest of 59 barangays in Gumaca by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Rizal (Pob.) accounted for approximately 1.31% of the total population of Gumaca, which stood at 71,942 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Rizal (Pob.) changed from 1,186 to 943, a shift of -20.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Gumaca. Barangay Rizal (Pob.) is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
