Barangay San Diego Poblacion

Barangay San Diego Poblacion is a small barangay in the municipality of Gumaca, located in the province of Quezon, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Diego Poblacion had a population of 877. This made it the 24th largest of 59 barangays in Gumaca by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Diego Poblacion accounted for approximately 1.22% of the total population of Gumaca, which stood at 71,942 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Diego Poblacion changed from 1,136 to 877, a shift of -22.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Gumaca. Barangay San Diego Poblacion is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Gumaca is a municipality comprising 59 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Diego Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
